How to Create a MySQL Database in cPanel Print

1. Log into cPanel and select MySQL Databases under the Databases heading
Click on the Create New Database button

2. Next to New Database enter a name for your database and click Create Database. A confirmation message will appear. Click Back to return to cPanel's MySQL Databases menu. Go to MySQL Users and click Add New User

3. Next to Username enter a username. Enter a password next to Password, enter it again for Password (Again) and then click Create User. A confirmation message will appear. Click Back to return to cPanel's MySQL Databases menu. Click Add User to Database

4. Select the user and the database and click Add. On the next page, you will assign privileges for the user to the database  Check the box next to All Privileges and then click Make Changes.

Your database and your user are set.

CAUTION
When you want to connect an application to the database (eg. joomla) the field Database should have the following format: cpanelusername_databasename
And for username, the format should be: cpanelusername_databaseuser

Your cPanel username is the same one you use to connect to your website's cPanel.
