I have registered an international domain name (tld) and it is deactivated despite the fact that I have purchased it. Why this happens?

From January 1st, 2014 and on, an extra step is needed for the authentication of internationally registered domains. You will receive a confirmation email, including a link which you have to click on, in order your email address you used for the domain name registration is verified.
